Programmer Analyst for Storage Protocol products
Job Description
Nucleodyne provides storage systems development services to companies around the world. The company has been helping top storage vendors design and develop new products. Presently an experienced engineer is required to design, debug and enhance storage device emulation related products.
This position requires close interaction with our customer at Milpitas, CA. The engineer is expected to perform the duty being at our customer location as well as in our office in Cupertino, CA.
Relocation will be provided depending on the candidate.
Technical Responsibilities

Design, develop and debug scsi emulation software for virtual devices on Linux and/or Unix systems

Perform root cause analysis of customer reported problems, find solutions and create patches

Write documentations and deliver presentation on new product or when major changes are necessary for product enhancements

Work with the QA team to do unit testing of the products
Required Skills and Expertise
Solid understanding of SCSI and FC protocol.
Linux or Unix kernel development experience is a must.
Should be able to decode assembly (x86) dump and find root cause of a panic.
Should be able to use SCSI, FC protocol analyzers, PCI/PCI-X bus analyzers to find the root cause of a problem.
Must be strong in C programming language.
Strong client and team interaction skills
Ability to identify client needs and translate those needs into new project opportunities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience and Educational Qualifications Required
- Must be strong in C programming language.
- 2+ years of years of storage and systems development experience.
- A BS or MS in EE or CSE is required for this position.
